To enable Midicake ARP to act as Transport and Clock for Ableton...1) Set ARP to MIDI Control Mode = OUT.
2) In Ableton, under MIDI Ports, Set Midicake-ARP to Track (Notes), Sync (clock) and Remote (Transport, Start/Stop).
3) Enable EXT mode, then it should work.
There should be no need for custom mapping.If you are connecting ARP to the PC via a MIDI interface it's the same setup, you just configure the MIDI Interface in the same way.I hope that helps.
