Simple idea that I’m totally ripping off from the Hapax:

On any value, a long press of the main encode resets the value to its default.

Cheers. That's a good idea. Would you want to go back to ARP's default patch setting or to the value the parameter was at when you last loaded the patch?

I think there are two approaches that might work:

global preference that lets the user choose
Variable hold time. Pressing and holding first resets to the value at load, and if you keep holding it resets to ARP’s default patch value.
